The 2008 General Social Survey file has been posted to the website of the University of Chicago, NORC.  Currently, the 2008 data is only available in the cumulative file, covering 1972 to 2008, but additional files should be posted in the coming months.  There were some new questions on entrepreneurship added to the General Social Survey instrument in 2008 and an outstanding proposal to continue or modify these questions in the collection of the 2010 data.  Read my previous blog post on the entrepreneurship additions and our call for comments on the General Social Survey.
