The Science Coalition has a new report out beating the drum around the role of universities in creating innovation, new businesses, and jobs and has included in the report a listing of some of the biggest companies (and data around those companies) to come out of universities.  I am not sure how much new information is actually here but certainly they have spent a lot of time coming up with a simple and effective means of communicating this topic.  The Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM) has the most commonly used data/metrics in this area within the United States.
