Make your event the center of attention
Your organization may now rent any individual room or combination of rooms in the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center
for your Friday evening and Saturday events. The nationally recognized convening site is located adjacent to the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation offices in Kansas City,
Missouri.
The Conference Center accommodates a wide range of events, blending flexible facilities and advanced technology, with comfortable amenities and a
friendly atmosphere. We look forward to welcoming your friends, associates, and patrons to the Conference Center for meetings, recognition dinners,
fund-raising benefits, and celebrations.
Weekend Rental Information
Criteria:
The Kauffman Foundation Conference Center is available to 501(c)(3) organizations and government entities. Rental requests are subject to
approval by the Kauffman Foundation.
Weekend Hours:
- Friday - 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Saturday - 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Scheduling Weekend Rentals:
Approved organizations may book Town Square 12 months prior to their event. All other space is available 6 months from the event date unless
booked in conjunction with Town Square.
Rooms are secured only after the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center has received a signed contract and down payment for the space to be occupied.
Requesting organizations will have the right of first refusal should another organization inquire about the same space prior to the Kauffman
Foundation Conference Center receiving the down payment.
A Missouri or Kansas State Tax Exempt form must also be on file with the
Kauffman Foundation Conference Center. If not on file, taxes will be charged.

Conference Center Rental Fees:
Ten percent (10%) of the room fee will be charged to those groups exceeding their 4 or 8 hour event for each hour or portion of hour until
the group and its vendors have cleared the building.

Catering
Catering menu and pricing is available online at www.kauffman.org. For a custom menu, contact the Conference Center
staff at 816-932-1050. American Food and Vending is the exclusive caterer to the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center.
Furnishings
Linen - $12 per round
Buffet Linen - $35 each
Special order linens available for additional fee
Audio Visual
$75/per hour technician (required)
$300 flat fee for usage
$10/each flip charts
Security
$25/per hour - for events serving alcohol (required)
$100/per hour - for groups that exceed event hours (required)
The Kauffman Foundation Conference Center may require additional security for any group.
Other fees may apply.
All guidelines listed in the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center Event Planning Guide apply to events held during the Weekend hours
(some exceptions apply regarding fundraising and alcohol service).
