Debbie McKown is a specialist in finance for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and provides coordination for the Foundation's grant program. She joined the Kauffman Foundation in 1996. Previously, McKown worked for nineteen years as an executive assistant and international liaison for the chief executive officer of ERA Franchise Systems, Inc. She obtained her CPS (Certified Professional Secretary) status in 1988 and has completed various courses in management skills. McKown and her husband also own and operate Distinctive Discoveries, a home-based business.
