As coordinator for the Finance department, Joanne Karlson's many responsibilities include administrative support for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation's information technology services, data stewardship of the contact management system, and administration of the Kauffman Foundation Resource Center. She joined the Kauffman Foundation in September 1994 after eight years as an executive secretary for Rapid Ways Truck Leasing, Inc. in Kansas City. Previously, she worked for Perdue Inc. in Maryland, where she held positions as executive secretary and corporate buyer during her fifteen years of employment. Karlson attended Jefferson Medical College, School of Nursing, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Salisbury State University in Maryland.
