Nancie Thomas Biography

Nancie Thomas manages the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation’s Higher Education initiatives and Kauffman Campuses collegiate programs. Since joining the Kauffman Foundation in 2000, Thomas has served as manager for the Kauffman Community College and Youth Entrepreneurship Education programs. She performed National Entrepreneurship teacher education trainings for Kauffman’s K-12 Entrepreneurship Education programs.

Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, she taught middle school for 13 years, served as associate director for the Center for Economic Education at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, and conducted graduate-level economic course work at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo. Thomas has a master’s degree in physical education and recreation theory from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kan. and post-graduate hours in economic education.
