Shelley Wertz provides insight, consultative, and research support as an analyst in Research and Policy for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Wertz was a project manager for Clinical Associates in Lenexa, Kan., where she managed programs and treatment services related to state, federal, and local contracts for services, including hiring, training, and supervising associates; monitoring RFPs; preparing statistical reports; and managing contractual guidelines. Wertz has fifteen years experience in the social services field working with adults and juveniles within the criminal justice system. She previously facilitated a parent and teen conflict resolution program for the TeenLink program.
Wertz earned bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology with an emphasis in criminal justice from Kansas State University. She earned a Master of Arts in business management and leadership from Webster University in Kansas City, Mo.
