Program Overview
Kauffman Scholars, Inc. was created by our founder, Ewing Marion Kauffman. As a graduate of the Kansas City public school system, Mr. Kauffman was passionate about giving back to the community. One of his most important goals was to help young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, get a quality education that would enable them to reach their full potential.
In 2012, the Kauffman Scholars program has undergone important changes and enhancements. Our objective remains focused on what can be done to best prepare students for success in college and careers. We believe the revised program will supports students in the Kansas City area and helps them maximize their opportunities to attend college and start careers.
Current Status
Kauffman Scholars leaders met with parents and students in October 2012 to share the program changes and discuss what they mean for families. Coaches are meeting individually with students to develop Individual Success Plans.
As the program moves forward, Kauffman Scholars coaches and leaders will be in touch with students and families frequently to share essential dates and information.
