An International Celebration of Entrepreneurship

 

This week, millions of people around the world join a growing entrepreneurial movement to generate bold new ideas and to seek better ways of doing things. The world's first Global Entrepreneurship Week introduces the notion of enterprising behavior to as many young people as possible, connecting in networks that cross national boundaries, cultures and disciplines. Inspirational entrepreneurs will coach and mentor the next generation of enterprise talent as they pursue their entrepreneurial dreams and ultimately create the businesses that will drive the world's economic health.

  • Check out Global Entrepreneurship Week videos from around the world on YouTube.

  • Watch for updates throughout the week, including Webisodes from the Race to BE, hosted by Russell Simmons. The Race will challenge young film makers, musicians, and fashion designers in Los Angeles, Austin and New York.

  • Follow Paul Kedrosky as he files Global Entrepreneurship Week video blogs, reporting from Malaysia, Singapore and Johannesburg.  And video crews are covering events in Moscow, Russia; Accra, Ghana; Mexico City, Mexico; New York, NY; Berkeley, CA; Charlottesville, VA; and Honolulu, HI.

  • Throughout the Week, global sponsors Ernst & Young will be supporting events in 26 countries around the world - from community events designed to encourage young people to pursue entrepreneurial ideas to its renowned 'Entrepreneur Of The Year' awards. IBM will host events in dozens of countries, as well as hold Webcasts with renowned experts from around the world sharing insights to inspire female and constituency entrepreneurs. NYSE Euronext is organizing a Mentoring Madness Webcast and hosting various events at several offices around the world including New York and Amsterdam.
