In an April 8, 2006 speech entitled Making the Turn: Entrepreneurial Capitalism and Its European Promise, Kauffman Foundation President and CEO Carl Schramm addressed the Economics and Finance Ministers of the European Union. After describing the ongoing transformation of the United States and other countries to entrepreneurial capitalism, Dr. Schramm emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship and economic culture for growth and development. He noted, however, that there is no standard formula for all nations to follow in this transformation.
