This panel will introduce new and innovative ways in which Americans are manufacturing products and contributing to local and economic growth and revitalization, and will outline how cities can work with local corporations to expand innovation.

To expand the Maker Movement and entrepreneurship, programs and events should be made widely available. This panel will highlight events and programs that promote making and entrepreneurial activity and will suggest ways to support and promote these programs in your city.

Immigrants are an important source of job creation and economic growth in the United States. This panel will present data behind the entrepreneurial activity of immigrant entrepreneurs and will highlight ways to welcome and support immigrant entrepreneurs in your city.

Campaigning for Entrepreneurship
In the spirit of entrepreneurship competitions and election campaigns, several mayors will give their “stump speech” about the best way for cities to support making and entrepreneurial activity. A panel of entrepreneurship experts will offer suggestions and solicit additional information from the mayors before the audience votes for their favorite idea.
