Travel arrangement deadline is Friday, September 12, 2014, noon CDT. All Kauffman-covered travel must be booked through Travel and Transport, and confirmed by this date. An e-mail with details on how to book your travel will be sent out approximately 48 hours after registering. Please let us know if you do not receive this e-mail.
Note: If you are not permitted to receive your travel paid for by the Kauffman Foundation, you may still use Travel and Transport, available through the travel link email, to arrange your travel. If you do not use our link, please share your itinerary with Mette Kramer, firstname.lastname@example.org, so that we can ensure all other conference-related matters are coordinated.
Please plan to be in Louisville by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15. We have reserved the historic riverboat "Belle of Louisville" for a reception and river cruise (weather permitting). Boarding begins at 3:30 p.m., and the gate closes promptly at 4:00 p.m. The cruise will take approx. 2 hours.
After the cruise, we will meet for dinner at a yet-to-be-determined location. Transportation will be available from the boat and/or hotel to the dinner venue.
The 2014 Mayors Conference will begin with breakfast at 8:00 a.m. in the Louisville Downtown Marriott on Thursday, October 16, and will end (officially) at 4:30 p.m. Please note that there are options for Thursday evening including a tour of entrepreneurial destinations and dinner.
The Kauffman Foundation will provide one round-trip, lowest-priced, reasonable ticket for each invited participant. The Foundation will be directly responsible for shuttle service to and from the hotel, hotel accommodations, and conference meals.
Expenses Not Covered:
All charges, fees, additional fare costs, luggage expense, seat upgrades, penalties incurred from changes, or cancellations made to airline reservations after they are ticketed are solely the financial responsibility of the participant.
Dress for the Wednesday evening reception and dinner is casual, and dress during the conference is business casual.
As a courtesy, we ask that all cancellations be made at least 14 days in advance by contacting Mette Kramer at email@example.com.
Note: If airline reservations have been confirmed and ticketed prior to cancellation, the participant will be financially responsible for the full cost of the airfare. By making reservations with our travel agency and accepting covered travel accommodations, you acknowledge and accept the terms of this cancellation policy.

All participants and their guests are welcome to join us for the Wednesday evening reception and dinner. Breakfast and lunch on Thursday, October 16, are reserved for conference participants only. Please make sure to register dietary needs on the Registration page, Special Requests.
