Downloadable provocative conversations will feature leading thinkers discussing entrepreneurship, economic growth and innovation

(Kansas City, Mo.), June 1, 2010 – A new podcast presented by the Kauffman Foundation, and hosted by renowned blogger and financial commentator Paul Kedrosky, aims to go beyond the surface and get to the heart of current issues. In each episode of the Infectious Talk podcast, found at www.infectioustalk.com, Kedrosky will have an in-depth conversation with prominent thinkers about growth, innovation and entrepreneurship.

"I want to have soulful conversations with smart and interesting entrepreneurs, investors and academics," Kedrosky said."I want to provoke conversations about the real reasons why we care so much about entrepreneurship and innovation. And that is, of course, because it's among the most important things we have."

In his first episode, Kedrosky talks with Dick Costolo, current COO of Twitter, about Costolo’s foray into improvisational comedy before becoming a co-founder of widely used Web service Feedburner.

His second guest, Frank Partnoy, a professor at San Diego University, has written extensively on the topic of financial market regulation for The New York Times, the Financial Times and several books, including The Match King: Ivar Kreuger, The Financial Genius Behind a Century of Wall Street Scandals, and, F.I.A.S.C.O.: Blood in the Water on Wall Street.

Two new episodes of the podcast will be produced each month.

In addition to being a senior fellow for the Kauffman Foundation, Kedrosky is an analyst for CNBC television; a columnist for TheStreet/RealMoney; the editor of Infectious Greed, one of the best-known business blogs on the Internet; and is frequently quoted in major publications around the world. Kedrosky also is the strategist for Ten Asset Management, a southern California institutional asset management firm with approximately a billion dollars in assets, and is also a venture partner with Ventures West, an institutional venture capital firm with more than $600 million in assets.
