Kauffman Scholars (KSI) is a multi-year college access and scholarship program that helps low-income students complete a college education.

Kauffman Scholars represents a 19-year commitment to eight cohorts of students who received support beginning in seventh grade to prepare them for success in college, and then received full scholarships and ongoing coaching throughout the program to earn a college degree.

Kauffman Scholars accepted its eighth and final class of seventh-grade students during the 2011-12 school year. When the final class of Kauffman Scholars graduates from college in 2022, the Kauffman Foundation will have supported over 2,200 area students.

The Kauffman Foundation and Kauffman Scholars Alumni Association are eager to work with local employers and entrepreneurs to connect all Kauffman Scholars graduates to the life and work of Kansas City.
