Kansas State College Advising Corps

Kansas State College Advising Corps places recent college graduates in underrepresented communities within Johnson and Wyandotte counties to provide college advisement services to more than 10,000 high school students and their families to identify “best fit” pathways that lead to postsecondary completion. Corps members serve in six Kansas City schools with significant low-income enrollments and low college-going rates.

Advisors work directly with students in their high schools on college preparation, scholarship, and financial aid applications to help them attend postsecondary institutions where they are most likely to complete a four-year, two-year, or technical degree/certification program.
