Senior Program Officer in Entrepreneurship
Rachel Carlton is a senior program officer in Entrepreneurship for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where she helps communities develop strategies to improve conditions for entrepreneurial success. She leads the Kauffman Foundation’s programmatic efforts to build more vibrant ecosystems in select U.S. metros that support the launch, growth and success of new and young firms. This includes identifying and funding programs and initiatives that promote increased entrepreneurship, speaking to entrepreneurship groups and managing the Foundation’s Global Entrepreneurship Week activities in those areas. Prior to joining the Foundation, Carlton managed events of all sizes, organized charitable and fundraising campaigns, and managed internal communications for corporations and highly successful entrepreneurs.
Carlton earned a bachelor's degree in English Literature from Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. She is a founding member of Premier Assistants International. Her personal interests include traveling, seeing live theatre and reading.
