Sarah Saxton

Sarah Saxton is director in Finance & Grants Administration for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where she provides support for the Foundation’s investment initiatives, financial policies and practices, and operating budget. 

Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Saxton was an audit supervisor for BKD, LLP, in Kansas City, where she was responsible for the planning and execution of annual audit engagements and the preparation of financial statements. Earlier, Saxton was a staff accountant with Patsy Porter, CPA, where she prepared tax returns and performed bookkeeping for clients.

Saxton earned dual bachelor’s degrees in accounting and international business from Columbia College with a minor in studio art, and she received her master’s degree in accounting and information systems from the University of Kansas. She is a licensed CPA and a member of the American Institute of CPAs. 

An avid volunteer, Saxton has volunteered her time with several organizations, including Harvesters Community Food Network, Habitat for Humanity, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
