Great Schools Visits

Urban schools and students are thriving in cities across the United States. What can we learn from them?

Community members from a cross section of Kansas City are learning together and embracing new ideas from visits to great schools in cities across the country serving a similar population of students as those in Kansas City’s public schools. Sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation, these visits help create shared experiences that unite communities around what is possible for students in Kansas City. For families exploring school options in Kansas City, we support Show Me KC Schools, a nonprofit that provides tours and tools to help find the best schools for their children.
