Our History Kauffman SCholars Where We’ve Been Facebook Linkedin Twitter Launched by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in 2003, Kauffman Scholars, Inc. (KSI) provided support to students beginning in seventh grade, working alongside them and their families until they complete their postsecondary education. Students receive extensive support from program leaders and coaches along with collegiate, community, and corporate partners throughout their years in the program. Students selected for the program initially resided within the boundaries of the Kansas City, Kansas, or Kansas City, Missouri, public school districts, attending a K-12 school within those district boundaries. Kauffman Scholars accepted its eighth and final cohort of seventh-grader students during the 2011-2012 academic year. The program will remain active until through the final year of scholarship support, academic year 2021-2022.
