Stack Credits and Climb Ahead

Skilled KC Technical Institute offers quality and immersive training to in-demand careers, giving students the opportunity to access competitive, living-wage jobs.

Why Skilled KC?

Every person should have access to quality jobs. Over 200,000 jobs in the skilled trades, which require specialized certifications, are left unfilled in the Kansas City metro area. Occupations in advanced manufacturing, information technology, and biosciences have entry level jobs starting at $40,000-$60,000 but employers are still struggling to fill those positions.

Skilled KC connects students to relevant learning experiences, informed by employers that are seeking new talent. With little to no debt and in short three to six month learning sprints, students can earn a valuable and relevant credential.

What's Coming?

Skilled KC is introducing three training programs in 2020 in Advanced Manufacturing, Software Development, and Biotechnology. The coursed are informed by industry advisory councils and only use industry approved equipment and training to prepare students for their next step. As the connector, Skilled KC will prepare the next wave of Kansas City talent.

We meet students where they are, as they design the path best for them to move forward.
