Kansas City Teaching Residency (KCTR) is currently accepting proposals from consultants to deliver multiple services, including: financial analysis; a business model; stakeholder engagement; implementation and consulting; and a case study.
The Kansas City Teacher Residency recruits, prepares, and supports effective teachers in urban classrooms to make a difference in the lives of Kansas City students.
This one-year residency program for college graduates and professionals pairs residents with mentor teachers and immerses them in rigorous coursework that leads to a Master’s of Education from Park University and Missouri teacher certification.
After the residency year, graduates will be ready to effectively lead their own classrooms in Kansas City’s urban public schools.
Distinguished from traditional teacher training programs, urban teacher residencies have dramatically improved the amount of time and quality of teacher candidates' clinical experiences, ensuring that residents are able to effectively serve students on day one.
