Matthew Fischer is the director of new entrepreneurial learning (NEL) in Entrepreneurship for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where he oversees and leads the NEL team and its programs, platforms and productions.
Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Fischer led the consumer and partner acquisition marketing strategy and programs, and oversaw the marketing technology solutions and integrations, for Everything But The House (EBTH.com), a online estate sale auction startup based in Cincinnati, Ohio. From 2014-15, he was the senior vice president of product and technology at Mind Over Media, LLC, in Culver City, Calif. Earlier, he was the executive director of AOL in Dulles, Va. Fischer has been invited to speak at a number of conferences, including eTail West 2015; CommunicAsia 2012; Mobile World Asia 2012; Prepaid Mobile Summit 2012; and Mobile Value-Added Services (VAS) Summit 2012. He also co-authored a case study in 2009 for the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia called, "Discopress."
Fischer earned an MBA from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts in magazine journalism and policy studies from Syracuse University.
