Entrepreneurship

The Kauffman Foundation created the Kauffman Index of Entrepreneurial Activity (later the Kauffman Indicators of Entrepreneurship), one of the first national, regularly released measures of new business creation in the U.S. In May 2026, the Foundation released its most recent Kauffman Indicators of Entrepreneurship report.
