Kathryn Widrig is a senior program coordinator in Entrepreneurship for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where she co-manages the highly successful 1 Million Cups program. 1 Million Cups is a free national program that takes place each Wednesday in communities across the country. It is designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and network over a million cups of coffee. Widrig evaluates applications from new communities and has helped the program expand to its current 80+ locations. She also collaborates on the program’s strategic vision and develops projects that simplify and standardize local organizers’ roles.
Widrig earned a bachelor’s degree in communication studies with a business and art history minor from the University of Kansas. Widrig also holds a certification in graphic design from the Kansas City Art Institute.
