Union Station

Kansas City’s Union Station is the second-largest working train station in the country. This fully restored, 1914 landmark hosts traveling exhibitions and offers many educational and engaging attractions for folks of all ages.

Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts

Serving as a cultural cornerstone for Kansas City and the region, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts delivers extraordinary and diverse performing arts experiences. This nonprofit center for music, opera, theater, and dance opened in 2011 and is honored as one of the world’s 15 most beautiful concert halls, attracting some of the world’s most renowned performers and entertainers.

Negro Leagues Baseball Museum

Founded in 1990, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum (NLBM) is dedicated to preserving the rich history of African-American Baseball. The NLBM is located in the 18th & Vine historic district where the Negro National League was founded in 1920. Today, it is a major attraction alongside the MLB Kansas City Urban Youth Academy and the American Jazz Museum.

Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum

The Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum, the first presidential library to be created under the provisions of the 1955 Presidential Libraries Act, was established to preserve the papers, books, and other historical materials relating to former President Harry S. Truman.

With lectures, panel discussions, interviews, conversations, seminars, and demonstrations offered in-person, on virtual platforms, in real time, or on demand, the Linda Hall Library has opened its doors to an international community of scientists, engineers, historians, students, educators, and learners of all ages who gather to question, understand, share, and learn.
