Chris Newton

Chris Newton is a senior data and analytics specialist in Public Affairs for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where he works to quantify and qualify business data into operational dashboards and measurable success metrics, with an end-goal to deliver actionable insight for learning and effectiveness. In working with internal and external data consumers and generators, he wrangles data from many systems and platforms, composes reports, utilizes trend data, disaggregation, and predictive analytics to inform business decisions and monitor impact.

In a previous role with the Kauffman Foundation, Newton was senior digital growth specialist, where he assisted in the management of digital campaigns and web-based projects and worked to increase audience engagement. Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Newton was the online marketing manager for 360ideas in Overland Park, Kansas, where he assisted clients in the strategy and execution of digital marketing tactics, including website development, search marketing, content marketing, and paid advertising management. Earlier, he was a web developer with the Rhycom Advertising Agency.

Newton holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations with a minor in leadership studies from Kansas State University. In 2022, he completed a Masters of Business Administration from University of Missouri-Kansas City, with a certificate in business analytics.

He lives in the Kansas City area, sharing all the world has to offer with his family.
