Christie Zarkovich, CFA, is a managing director in Investments for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where she assumes a leadership role on the Investment team and is charged with growing the Foundation’s endowment so that money is available for grants and operations, now and in the future. The Investment team develops strategies for allocating capital across a wide range of asset categories and manages a roster of external investment firms that implement specific strategies on the organization’s behalf.

Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Zarkovich was chef investment and financial officer with the Health Forward Foundation in Kansas City.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in economics with a minor in geology from The Colorado School of Mines, in Golden, Colorado, and her Master of Science in finance and Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver. She is a chartered financial analyst and frequent speaker at investment industry conferences on impact-investing and mission-aligned investing. She serves on the boards of the Children’s Mercy Hospital Foundation, Kansas City Art Institute, and KCRise, and on the fund investment committees of Pivotal Ventures and Pembroke Hill School.
