Dan Earnest is a senior program assistant in the Office of the President for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where he assists with a variety of responsibilities related to cross-team and cross-Foundation coordination and project management in support of the chief of staff and the CEO. He also provides general administrative support.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Earnest was the production manager for the Kansas City Repertory Theatre a LORT B/C Theatre. There he supervised nearly 100 shows’ personnel, budgets, and scheduling for the theatre’s two stages. His supervisory role included directors, designers, stage management, scenery, properties, costumes, electrics, sound, stage operations and production assistants. He worked with the production and artistic staff to meet the professional performance standards of the Spencer Theatre, Copaken Stage, and other venues where the KC Rep performs.

Earnest earned his Bachelor of Arts in music, cello performance with an emphasis in audio engineering from the University of Missouri — Kansas City and his Master of Arts Management in performing arts from Columbia College in Chicago. Earnest has served board president of the Living Room Theatre in Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts District.
