Dr. Eric Seymour is a senior data officer in Research, Learning, and Evaluation (RLE) for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where he implements data strategy and operationalizes data analysis to inform policy and local activities, working with his fellow RLE team members and Kauffman associates, in alignment with the Foundation’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.

Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Dr. Seymour was an assistant professor of urban planning and policy development at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He brings extensive experience conceptualizing data-driven research projects and analyzing neighborhood and municipal dynamics.

Dr. Seymour earned his Bachelor of Arts in American literature and history from the Wilkes Honors College at Florida Atlantic University, his Master of Arts in urban and regional planning from the University of Florida, and his Ph.D. in urban and regional planning from the University of Michigan.
