Madi Smith is an impact analyst in Impact for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, providing essential coordination across projects, processes, and information. Her role ensures the team operates effectively by managing daily operations related to grants and budgets, tracking key project outcomes, and coordinating team engagements and initiatives.

Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Smith was an assessment coordinator in the Office of Assessment with Kansas City Community College. Earlier, she served as program manager for Students Training in Academia, Health, and Research at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Smith volunteers with ScrapsKC and Project C.U.R.E.

Smith earned her Master of Arts in Educational Administration from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences and Industry and a certificate in Equine Science from Kansas State University, where her “Effects of Protein Source on In Vitro Fermentation of Prairie Hay by Mixed Cecal Microorganisms” earned the school’s Outstanding Undergraduate Research Award.
