Misty Chandler

Misty Chandler is executive director – real world learning in Operating Programs for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where she works on activities related primarily to the high school design portfolio within the Real World Learning initiative.

Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Chandler was assistant vice provost, academic success at the University of Kansas. Her portfolio of student service units included Academic Success Navigators, the Military Affiliated Student Center, Hawk Link, Academic Success Operations and Technologies, and Leavenworth Academic and Student Support. Chandler co-chaired the Greater Kansas City FIRST Robotics Championships Planning Committee with the KC STEM Alliance, and has worked with American Council on Education (ACE) Kansas Women’s Network and the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA), served as Girl Scout Troop Leader, and volunteered with Happy Bottoms.

Chandler earned her Bachelor of Arts in communications arts: speech communication emphasis and her Master of Education in educational administration: secondary and higher education dual track from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She earned her Kansas Certified Public Manager credential from the Kansas Public Management Center.
