Sam Aleinikoff Director, College Access and Completion Sam Aleinikoff is a director of college access and completion on the Impact team for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. He serves as the Foundation’s programmatic and operational strategist for its college access and completion priority area, translating the organization’s grantmaking vision into an intentional and robust grantmaking portfolio. Aleinikoff began his career in education, teaching math and special education in 2011 at Towers High School in DeKalb County, Georgia. In 2013, he founded an organization called College AIM to help his students forge paths to and through college, which has grown to support more than 5,000 students annually. In 2015, Aleinikoff was named Towers High School Teacher of the Year. He also worked with Georgians for College Affordability, helping to lead statewide advocacy efforts that contributed to Georgia’s first-ever comprehensive needs-based financial aid program. Aleinikoff earned his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.
