Ewing Marion Kauffman School Evaluation RFP

The RFP opens January 27, 2026 and closes February 20, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. CT.

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation is seeking proposals to conduct a mixed-methods evaluation of the Ewing Marion Kauffman School (“EMKS” or “the School”). The selected evaluator will provide timely and actionable insights that inform the School’s strategic planning process and current programming, as well as inform the Foundation.

The purpose of this evaluation is to:

  • Understand current and former EMKS students’ academic, social, and work experiences that shape postsecondary persistence and career navigation, including barriers and supports.
  • Develop a richer narrative of EMKS graduates’ college experiences that goes beyond existing survey data, with particular emphasis on students whom EMKS staff have difficulty staying in contact with after they leave for college.
  • Provide the School’s leadership with recommendations for the highest-leverage Real World Learning opportunities, based on evidence, the Kansas City labor market, and input from the EMKS leadership team to guide assessment of existing and potential partnerships.
