Currents Hometown heart: Explore the Kansas City region through Parade of Hearts The installation of 150 unique heart sculptures brings the perennial free public art celebration back to Kansas City. Written by Julie ScheideggerApril 7, 2026 Share: Facebook LinkedIn Twitter The public art celebration, Parade of Hearts, returns this year with 150 six-foot heart sculptures each with unique designs by local artists. Hearts will be installed during the week of April 7-10 at locations across the Kansas City metro area. The Kauffman Foundation is a “Heart of the Nation Patron Partner” of the 2026 Parade of Hearts, which includes sponsoring nine hearts, one of which will be installed on our campus. We hope Parade of Hearts will once again inspire people to explore the world-class Kansas City region and enjoy the stories and artistry of each sculpture.
