Parent Power Lab

The Parent Power Lab is an immersive series of five half-day Learning Gathers and a unique guided Learning Journey to observe a Parent Power organization in action in another city. The Parent Power Lab is designed to engage, educate, and activate parents within the geographic boundaries of Kansas City Public Schools.

Parent Power Lab graduates will be equipped with the fundamentals to organize and lead their own small parent group that will be fully affiliated with a larger parent organizing effort in Kansas City. As a result, the Parent Power Lab will increase the engagement of parents in their child's education process, increase the voter participation in school board elections, and impact educational policy in a manner that supports parent voice.
